Life is short, shoot more.

Hello, I'm Jessica. I earned my BA in Journalism and Mass Communication from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University. Currently, I am pursuing my Master's in Mass Communication at the University of Florida.

My greatest aspiration in the field of journalism is to become an anchor. Originally hailing from Beijing, China, and now a proud member of the Asian community in the U.S., my identity, coupled with a bilingual background, fuels my passion for covering international issues and global news. I am driven not only by the desire to inform but also by the commitment to promote equal rights and eliminate invisible biases that affect ethnic and racial minorities in the United States through my reporting.

Beyond journalism, I'm a self-proclaimed "music nerd." I've been captivated by the American entertainment industry from a young age. Pop and hip-hop music holds a special place in my heart, and going to concerts, shows, or events to see my favorite artists is a true joy. My second career aspiration is to become a music or entertainment journalist in the digital realm, allowing me to combine my love for music with my journalistic skills.

I am passionate about telling stories that haven't been told before. With a background in broadcast journalism, I bring a unique perspective to my work. Whether through writing, photography, or videography, I am always looking for new ways to capture and share the world around me.
